Pål Angelskår is best known as the vocalist and songwriter in the critically acclaimed and Spellemann-winning band Minor Majority, responsible for the hits "Dancing In The Backyard", "She Gave Me Away" and "Supergirl". The Cellar Door Was Open, I Could Never Walk Away” is his second album as a solo artist. The album was recorded in Ocean Sound Recordings in Giske and Parachute Studio Oslo, and produced by Roar Nilsen. The songs were written by Pål Angelskår with the exception of “Lifeline” written by Irish folk singer Gus MacGregor and Norwegian band Muzzlewhite’s: «Local Karaoke Queen».
