Backstreet Girls is an epitome in Norwegian rock history after over 40 years on the road and in the studio.

When the band's legendary frontman Bjørn Müller passed away in November 2024, many believed that the story of Backstreet Girls had reached its final chapter. But in true BSG spirit, guitarist and songwriter Petter Baarli made a decision. The legacy would not stop. The BSG train would keep on rolling.

The new vocalist on the new album is Roar Leren. He has long had a close relationship with both Bjørn Müller and the band, and many were able to experience his strong presence during the memorial concerts at Rockefeller and Tons of Rock. With his powerful voice, authority on stage and deep respect for the band's expression, he appears to be a natural and worthy choice to carry on the legacy.

Roar is previously known from his own project, the critically acclaimed band Mooie Garage. They have released four albums, and most recently the album Nothing Ever Ends in 2025 (a title that fits well for Backstreet Girls, too). The band now consists of Petter Baarli (guitar), Roar Leren (vocals), Gaute Vaag (bass) and Jonas Amazonas (drums).
