Øystein Sevåg - Space for a crowded world (VINYL)

Two years after releasing his critically acclaimed and most band-oriented project, The Red Album, Sevåg returned with a completely different concept.
Space for a Crowded World is his musical expression of the value of the inner journey – melodic, highly spherical, harmonically refined, three-dimensional, and powerful. The core of the album rests on Sevåg’s synthesizer arsenal and grand piano, while unique colors are added by German theremin player Barbara Buchholz on two tracks, and vocalist Benedicte Torget on one.
Although the album stands apart from much of Sevåg’s earlier work, his fundamental intention remains the same: to inspire the listener on the path inward.
This is Sevåg’s album featuring the most extensive use of electronic instruments. The contrast between the vast, cosmic synth sounds and his intimate, sensitive piano playing creates a
rare three-dimensional depth in the soundscape that is both engaging and atmospheric.
On eight of the albums 11 tracks, Sevåg captivates the audience on his own. On three tracks, Sevåg invited guest performers: two tracks featuring a collaboration with the renowned German
theremin player Barbara Buchholz, and one track with the highly esteemed Norwegian vocalist Benedicte Torget. 

The process of completing this album took seven years,
reflecting Sevåg’s dedication and attention to detail in every
note, as well as in the sound production.
