Håvard Svendsrud - Erindringer

Erindringer presents virtuos traditional Norwegian accordion dance music (gammeldans) in solo format, performed by Håvard Svendsrud. The repertoire features works composed by some of the most prominent names in Norwegian accordion history, including Toralf Tollefsen, Harald Henschien, Erling Eriksen, Kåre Korneliussen, and Ole Rønning.

Håvard Svendsrud is regarded as one of the leading Norwegian accordionists of his generation. His performing career spans a wide range of styles, from classical music to folk music. He is particularly renowned as an interpreter and torchbearer of the rich Norwegian accordion tradition—something that is clearly reflected throughout this album.

Erindringer was recorded at Vålerenga Platefabrikk in Oslo, with recording, mixing, and mastering by Audun Strype. The release is accompanied by an extensive booklet featuring photographs and historical background on both the music and the composers. The album is released on Svendsrud’s own label, Aksent.
