Gangar - Stubb

Gangar finally serves up their debut album, «Stubb». The album takes you on a musical journey through Norwegian folk tunes, reimagined with a powerful mix of rock, metal, and jazz! Following the success of their debut EP, «Tre Danser» which delighted audiences in 2022, it's now time for the main course: «Stubb». Inspired by legendary bands like AC/DC, Hoven Droven, and Meshuggah, Gangar fearlessly explores new musical territories, making old melodies accessible to all without losing the charm of tradition.
 
With eleven diverse tracks on the album, Gangar spans various genres, from Folk-metal in «Synnjavinden»and «Dorisk Reinlender» to alternative rhythms in «Skrebua» and classic rockabilly in «Hennar Valborg» and «Slarkjen». This fusion culminates in the ultimate folk rock party that Gangar has been spreading joy with in Norway and Europe in recent years.
 
«Stubb» features traditional tunes from all over the country, sourced from a range of talented musicians. Gangar conveys the rich cultural heritage with powerful live energy, and on the album, they have managed to preserve this dynamism while adding unique details through the studio recording.
