Hvis du ikke blir glad av Gangar er du faenmeg sur!” – Tuva Syvertsen “Tre Danser” refererer til de tre låtene som utgjør EP’en, og til Gangars signaturdans, “tredansen”, hvor man låser beina i baken, løfter armene, og svaier som et tre i vinden. De tre låtene viser frem det store musikalske spennet i repertoaret til Gangar, alt fra den gjennomarrangerte heavy - metal komposisjonen “Fjellets Melodi”, etter Ola Løseth (Rindal, Møre og Romsdal, 1897 - 1978), til det nådeløse godstoget av en rockelåt “Reinlender fra Åseral”, etter Gunnar Austegard (Åseral, Vest- Agder, 1884- 1973). “Gammel Vals Fra Rindalen” består av en vakker og søt melodi i kontrast med et hardt og slemt riff som man må lytte nøye til før man skjønner at det er en vals. Frontfigur og felespiller Mattias Thedens har vokst opp i en folkemusikerfamilie, og har spilt norsk og amerikansk folkemusikk siden han var 9 år. Saxofonist Oskar Lindberget har røttene planta i jazztradisjonen og har til tross for sin unge alder bidratt på intet mindre enn 18 utgivelser. Gitarist Richard Max har bakgrunn som trommeslager og blodfan av prog- metal, og står bak de synkoperte rytmene og gitarriffene med høy vreng. Trommeslager Henrik Dullum har røtter i rocken som han har vokst opp med, og ble eksponert for folkemusikken etter at han kom fra Trondheim til storbyen Oslo. Bassist Jonas Thrana Jensen har bakgrunn i populærmusikk og rock, og har gjennom Gangar funnet interessen for å utforske folkemusikktradisjonen. «Å få headbange til tre forskjellige slåtter, er noe jeg aldri hadde trodd jeg skulle komme til å gjøre»- Jonas Thrana Jensen Gangar har gjort furore på live scener i inn- og- utland de siste par årene. Fra oppvarmings- og det som kan kalles gjennombruddskonserten for Hoven Droven i Oslo i 2021, gikk de videre til å imponere stort på Nordic Folk Alliance i Gøteborg 2022.
